6 Easy Tips To Boost Your Energy

Do you feel tired or worn down most of the time?

Good news- you don’t have to feel that way anymore. Natalia from Wha2wear is here for this guest post to give you some tips on how to boost your energy and get more from your day.

6 EASY TIPS TO BOOST YOUR ENERGY

“The weather, the multiple tasks we have to do every day, and not living a healthy life style can make us feel down. It’s easy to try to solve the problem with caffeine, fast food and other bad habits that boost our energy for a bit but then we feel down again, not to mention their other negative effects.

You could benefit from changing your habits. Changing habits is a slow process and you don’t need to change your lifestyle drastically from day one. However, you can introduce small changes and good habits that will make a big difference!

Let’s have a look at the 6 tips you should consider if you want to boost your energy:

  1. Start the day with a smoothie

Bananas, strawberries, spinach and coconut milk sounds like a delicious breakfast, doesn’t it? Give it a try for one week and compare how you feel after this and how you felt after your morning coffee: does it make any difference? Just think about the quantity of vitamins that the smoothie is providing in comparison with a coffee and a granola bar 😉

You might also like to try a mango and turmeric smoothie or green smoothie for breakfast.

2. Drink water

Try to reduce your dose of caffeine and soft drinks and always carry a bottle of water with you: you will probably feel more energetic, lighter and you could even see positive changes in your skin and body, such as a more moisturized skin and a belly reduction. Remember that water is the most natural drink that you can have and that’s why your body is so grateful when you drink it. Again, wait a week or two and compare how you feel before and after this change.

3. Work it out!

You can keep saying that you don’t have time to exercise or you can spend 30 minutes 3 times a week (just 1.5 hours per week in total!!) and see how your mood, mental and physical health improve. You don’t need to join a gym: there are lots of short 30 minutes work outs on YouTube that you can do in the comfort of your home and you can select your favourite one (for example Laura Jamie’s #HIITBodyMethod). Exercise will help you to release tension and your body will create endorphins, which will boost your energy. The more you practice it, the more you will want to practice it and the better you will feel.

4. Get in touch with the nature

Try to take some time to walk through a park or escape to the countryside, at least once per week. Getting in touch with the nature and breathing fresh air will make you feel relaxed and prepared for another week of work. Also, you can try one of your weekly set of exercises by running through a park or just walking fast: you will notice the difference.

5. Meditation

Meditation is the ability of being able to control your mind. When we are stressed, we are less capable of controlling our emotions and that’s because we can’t stop and control our thoughts. By practicing meditation, you can learn how to control your mind in the periods of stress and by controlling your thoughts, you will be controlling your emotions and hence, your body reactions. Start with 5 minutes in the morning or before going to bed: there are lots of videos on YouTube that can give you the tips to achieve it. Or why not attend a yoga class.

6. Watch your sleep

You’ve probably have heard that you need to sleep between 7 and 8 hours every night. However, in order to keep your energy at a good level, especially on Mondays, you need keep a regular sleeping pattern, this means, avoiding to go to sleep later during the weekends: same as your eating pattern, you need to make your body get used to a pattern, and those times in the day when you feel very sleepy or hungry will be a thing of the past. If you’re struggling to get to sleep follow these tips.

I hope you like this post and I really recommend that you consider introducing these tips in your life style, and you will notice a huge difference in a couple weeks! If you have any questions or want more information about any of the points above, feel free to leave a comment or contact us!
