There are a lot of foods I shouldn’t eat, if it’s not an allergy, it’s an intolerance and it can make eating pretty hard, there’s so much choice and variety now that makes eating much easier and fun but every once in a while I slip…”

I’ve found the best way to avoid temptation is to find a delicious alternative. As Charlotte says, there’s a lot of choice out there, but sometimes you just have to find it. For example, you can buy almond milk instead of dairy and even make your own non-dairy milk. It also helps to be prepared when you’re eating out.

If you’re still struggling then you can ask other people with similar dietary requirements how they cope. I’m sure they’d be happy to let you know their tips and tricks. Joining an online support group or facebook group is really beneficial to meet people. I love the Sheffield Vegans and Vegetarians group and Nottingham GUT together for people with a gluten-intolerance.

    Eating out is the hardest when you have food allergies! We hardly go out and when we do I have to do research and double check for allergen menus. It sucks to be the one when you go out with friends and they plan to eat around your restrictions. Prepping is key! Thanks for the like and stop by. Come back!

      Hey 🙂 It’s always handy where somewhere has an allergens menu. Hope your friends & family are understanding of your dietary restrictions. Luckily my friends have been supportive and my cousin is getting excited to make vegan meals with me 🙂
